Along Eagle River Road

A Place to Cogitate

On a creek I float in a noisy current that carries away my five senses:

Mist to touch, moss and lichen to smell, ribbons of color that blur in my eyes.

Incessant, rhythmic droplets roar and gather on my cheeks and smiling lips.

Water slapping rocks calms a part of my brain that seldom rests.

Thank God for Alaska streams.
